Marimba is the 2018 winner of the Next Pilates Anytime Instructor Contest and began studying Pilates in 1999 after a career as a professional dancer. Certified through The Kane School of Core Integration, she has taught at top studios like Westside Dance Physical Therapy and David Barton Gym. In 2012, she founded Articulating Body Inc., a Pilates and wellness studio in Chelsea, NYC.

Marimba is also a National Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) and a Registered Certified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist®, with extensive training in anatomy, movement, and holistic therapies. She is dedicated to helping clients build fluid, strong, and articulate bodies.

Christina is a movement professional with over 30 years of dance experience who began her fitness as a professional dancer. She studied Pilates to help with her dance technique and saw the amazing changes in both her body and dancing.

Christina moved to NYC after graduating from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, with a B.F.A. in dance in 2000, studied at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and performed for various musical artists.

As a professional dancer, movement has been a crucial part of Emily's life. After receiving her BFA in Dance from The University of the Arts 2018, she came into the fitness industry wanting to dig deeper into her own strength and has found great passion in helping others do the same. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Pronatal Pre/Postnatal Certified Trainer, and fully certified Pilates instructor from the Kane School.

Aside from getting to connect with so many New Yorkers, Emily's favorite part of the fitness industry is the constant opportunity to learn and grow as an instructor.

He has been teaching Pilates since 2002 and spent 13 years as the owner of Sixth Street Pilates, a boutique studio in Manhattan’s East Village. He is certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.

Jeremy specializes in working with older adults, chronic pain, and hypermobility.

Laura guides workouts based on a fusion of Pilates, strength, and Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), channeling a mindful connection to your body that will nourish confidence and awareness in everything you do. She uses the concepts and the science of movement to help clients breathe more efficiently, lower pain levels, move more symmetrically and feel grounded in their bodies.

Originally from Brazil, Carolina enjoyed movement from an early age. She explored different practices and modalities during her childhood: soccer, swimming, karate, and Capoeira — but it was dancing that ultimately captured her heart and eventually became a career path. That’s when Carolina discovered how Pilates and Strength Training were so important to keeping her body healthy and super strong. Those two pillars were essential to her back then as they are still now. After stopping dancing professionally, she knew what was coming next: teaching.

Carolina is passionate about helping others discover and explore movement, bringing forth their strength and confidence. Either through Pilates or Strength Training, she's a pro at making it fun, yet challenging!

Megan is a versatile fitness instructor certified in Mat Pilates (AFPA), Balanced Body Pilates Reformer, NASM Stretch & Flexibility, and Barre Above®. With years of experience, she brings a well-rounded approach to helping clients improve strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.

Holly received her mat and apparatus certification through The Kane School in 2013 and has studied KMI Anatomy for Movement Professionals with Simone Lindner. Her Pilates sessions are fun, energetic, and motivating with a focus on form, mechanics, and mobility made possible by Holly's strong emphasis on strength originating from the center. Pilates has helped her preserve the longevity of her body making her active lifestyle and love of contact sports possible.

Holly loves challenging her mind and body through rock climbing, hiking, and mud runs. Holly also trains in external and internal martial arts, including Muay Thai and Ba Gua, and aerial arts like pole and silks/hammock.

Cara is a second-generation Pilates Master Teacher with over 28 years of experience blending movement science, functional anatomy, and pain rehabilitation with the original Pilates method developed by Joseph Pilates. Trained under First Generation Master Teacher Kathleen Stanford Grant, Cara carries forward this lineage while integrating meditation, dance, yoga, and the latest in biomechanics and pain science. She is the founder of Pilates Aligned and co-founder of Movement Science Made Simple, dedicated to educating Pilates professionals worldwide.

Cara’s work emphasizes personalized, mindful movement that connects body and mind, empowering clients to build resilience, confidence, and lasting well-being.

Kim is a motivated, highly skilled Pilates instructor with over seventeen years of experience. She attributes her love of movement to her many years as a dancer. Kim has extensive knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and kinesiology, and has worked with clients of all ages--many of whom have severe injuries, are pre or post surgery, have postural imbalances, or other orthopedic conditions. She is adept at assessing the individualized needs of a client and developing sessions that facilitate rehabilitation. Her teaching combines the choreography of Pilates with other principles of movement, muscular re-patterning, and an emphasis on proper bone alignment, to encourage healthier body function.

Jared is sought after as a teacher, trainer, presenter, and entrepreneur. He is also an accomplished dancer and Pilates instructor.

Jared has been featured in advanced workshops internationally (China, Mexico), as well as across the USA and he continues to advance his personal studies with the brightest minds in movement and rehabilitation, including Jean-Claude West, Mark Comerford, Madeline Black, Dr. Guy Voyer, Gil Hedley, and Paul Chek.

Lisa has a B.A. in Economics from The University at Albany and a background in the financial services industry as a project manager and business analyst. She specialized in technology related projects for 20 years.  

Lisa took her first Pilates class on a mat on the floor in her bedroom from a dvd. Lisa is passionate about the benefits Pilates provides and believes that every body should do Pilates.  She has been a student of Pilates for over 25 years and has been actively teaching the method since 2019.  Lisa completed her Pilates certification with KF 360 Pilates & Wellness under Kimberly Fielding.  She is comprehensively trained in mat, reformer, chair, the trapeze table, and ladder barrel apparatuses.  As a continuous learner, she completed the Heritage Training program with Cara Reeser, a trauma informed yoga certificate through Exhale to Inhale, Anato Mat Anatomy intensive with Danica Kalemdaroglu and several Advanced Mover Series with Maria Earle.  

When Lisa is not teaching Pilates classes online or in the studio, she enjoys traveling and never met a trip she didn't like.  There is something special about experiencing other cultures, the food, the people, and the music allow us to learn more about ourselves.  She journals most mornings, loves an interesting book and enjoys a good cup of tea without sugar.

With 9 years of experience treating sports injuries and musculoskeletal disorders, he believes that exercise and manual therapy are the safest and most effective treatments for bodily injuries. His inspirational quote is, "If you can't fly, run."

Before high school, Mohammed broke his leg and arm. At that time, he was hyperactive and played soccer every day. The injury prevented him from becoming a professional soccer player and kept him from joining his high school team due to persistent ankle pain. This experience made him realize how pain can push you away from what you love, inspiring him to become a physical therapist.

Cristina is a physical therapist and coach with over 10 years of experience, specializing in chronic pain, hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD and hEDS), and dysautonomia.
